(UMSON) is recruiting for a
Manager, Student Financial Planning
. The selected candidate under limited supervision, will have primary responsibility for all aspects of nursing student scholarship and SON financial aid programs. The incumbent also serves as nursing school's primary liaison with the University Student Financial Assistance Office.
This position reports to the Associate Director, Student System and Financial Assistance. Additionally, the incumbent provides ongoing support to the Office of Admissions, specifically in the area of student recruiting and data management. Coordinate with University Student Financial Assistance Office serving as the nursing school's primary contact. Assists over 1900 nursing students in identifying sources of financial aid including federal, State and private.

Provide financial aid counseling for approximately 900 admitted applicants each year. Communicate to students the complex policies and procedures relating to various types of financial assistance.
Serve as an intermediary between students and the University Student Financial Assistance Office.
Monitors the academic performance of scholarship recipients to ensure compliance with the requirements of the awards.
Administer and monitor the awarding of School of Nursing private scholarship funds (currently over $1.5M).
Develop information as needed for financial aid and private scholarship reporting.
Provide scholarship recipient reports to the School of Nursing Development Office.
Serves as Veterans' Administration Certifying Official for students receiving veterans' benefits.
Assist in developing and enforcing scholarship policies and procedures.
Assist the Admissions Office with the recruitment of new students and scholars.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Three (3) years of experience in student enrollment, including admissions, financial aid or financial planning administration or a related field.
Experience in a nursing school setting preferred
Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
