We are looking to add a dynamic Maintenance Planner to our Crane County, TX team!
The Maintenance Planner is responsible for planning and scheduling all plant maintenance work and coordinating all preventive maintenance activities. The Planner works closely with the Maintenance Supervisor, sharing information, ensuring the integrity of the CMMS or EAM. In addition, the Planner is responsible for coordinating purchasing activities as they relate to the maintenance function and for ensuring appropriate inventory levels are properly maintained. The Planner is responsible for being well versed in maintenance tools and techniques. The Planner participates in training other company employees in maintenance management fundamentals. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Superintendent.
Plans, schedules, and coordinates corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
Develops a weekly schedule and assists the Maintenance Supervisor in determining job priorities.
Ensures that the JDE EAM software data files are complete and current.
Assists with inventory and purchasing functions.
Identifies, analyzes, and reviews equipment maintenance problems with the Maintenance Superintendent.
Assists in educating operations or facilities personnel in maintenance management.
Back fills the Maintenance Supervisor position for vacations, days off and other absences.
Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in a supervisory role.
Experience managing union personnel is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Office and Projects.
Environment and giving firm direction in day to day assignments to maintenance personnel. Must be willing to engage all plant personnel in the pursuit of maintenance tasks.
Must have to ability to approach problems analytically based on a strong foundation of practical experience.
Minimum of an Associate’s degree or equivalent in engineering field. Appropriate experience in other related fields may be considered.
Must have at least 5 years in a planning/scheduling position in a manufacturing environment.
FUNCTIONAL/TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Ability to read analyze and interpret technical journals/manuals.
Must be accurate and trustworthy with the ability to create and accept change.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Prior experience working with skilled trades.
Previous experience working with JDE software.
Experience with EAM systems or CMMS.
