This position is designed to accomplish goals of the organization by scheduling all preventative, corrective and contract maintenance work orders daily and assures materials are available to complete/perform the needed repairs/improvements. The incumbent works within a framework of practices and precedents. Establishes priorities and schedules within the framework of agreed on production plans. Results are reviewed periodically and changes made to meet production goals. The incumbentâ€™s role focuses heavily on planning, control, and coordination with other units in this organization.
Directs or leads people in establishing and maintaining schedules and priorities within established procedures and budgets.
Directs the contractor safety program, including registration of contractors, contractor training and contractor safety.
Identifies, analyzes and seeks solutions to recurring costs from downtime maintenance problems and maintains/develops a predictive/preventive maintenance program to prolong machinery life and efficiency.
Monitors established performance indicators, including: safety, budget variance and OEE.
Coordinates required inspections and calibrations of plant equipment and maintains support documentation for compliance audits.
Ensures maintenance work meets established requirements.
Coordinates with Plant Controller on the procurement, release and inventory of capital spare equipment.
Maintain inventory of spare parts and equipment (including procurement), necessary to prevent emergency and unscheduled downtime.
Schedules, directs and controls the activities of maintenance associates covering all shifts on a continuous seven (7) day a week process in installation, maintenance, repair and/or replacement of plant equipment.
Assists subordinates in non-routine trouble shooting and problem solving.
Provide continuing education/training on predictive, preventive and repair skills needed for the maintenance mechanics and new hires to support Reliability Pillar.
Engineering Degree or Certified Trade Qualification preferred
Minimum of 5 years actual hands-on experience in a tradeâ€™s supervisory leadership role.
Prior experience using a computerized maintenance management system preferred
