Please note that you will have to create a new account on the application page.The Demand Planner will be responsible for short term/long term planning by style/color to support capacity requirements and business strategies as well as the achievement of financial objectives. This position will provide management guidance and hands on oversight for the demand planning function and be the bridge between the POS data / retailer / sales and the operations department.The net result should be increased wholesale and retail sales, greater profitability and improved inventory turns both internally and for our retail customers. In addition, the Planner will assure timely and accurate communication of weekly, monthly, and adjusted seasonal forecasts.Responsibilities:Report results and reforecasts monthly at ship spread meetings providing finance and supply planning with timely and accurate pre-season and in season projectionsWork closely with Production Operations Team to ensure timely deliveries and provide them with any weekly updates in team meetingsCall out trends relating to sales versus projectionsCall out potential issues of actual EDI orders versus projected ordersSupervise/challenge inventory levels and fulfillment by color / style / customerCreate clear and actionable recaps for sales & accounts in-seasonBecome a liaison on systems initiatives as they pertain to Demand PlanningQualifications:B.A. or B.S. degree – along with relevant experience in demand planning and forecasting, requiredMicrosoft OfficeJDA a plusExposure and proficiency to replenishment forecasting systems a plus5 years professional experience with a minimum of 3 in planning with proficiency in demand planning. Major department store experience preferred, buyer/planner on retail side as well as wholesale retail/replenishment analysis in a seasonally driven product category – in addition knowledge of department store replenishment systems helpful.Strong business judgment, planning and forecasting skillsStrong overall systems backgroundCreating budgets in line with the corporate direction of business; Monthly ship spread, annual long-term budget, support for management meetings; monitor and report all information to managementPrimary decision making will revolve around accurate projections, managing supply and forecasting inventory and shipments. This will increase wholesale purchases/shipments, inventory turn and profitability.The Planner must be able to partner and collaborate at all levels with multiple areas of the company. Be able to influence others based on the analysis and forecasting. Must be proficient at creating any new reporting tools to stay ahead of our competition and accounts’ analytical expectations.Our environment is extremely fast paced with constantly changing priorities.
