Assistant Director Enterprise Risk Management

Overview Assistant Director, Risk Management Reporting directly to the VP of Enterprise Risk Management & Associate General Counsel, as well as the AVP of Risk Management, the Assistant Director will aid in developing and executing all aspects of the enterprise-wide risk management program and several clinical risk management programs. This is a highly visible role representing Risk Management, and interfaces with Hospital leadership. Responsibilities: Facilitate the identification of risks throughout the organization Develop reporting and monitoring formats for risk management issues Develop methodologies for the assessment of organizational risks Facilitate process improvement throughout the Hospital to prevent further/future lossu00a0Enterprise Risk Managementu00a0{ERM): Work directly with VP/AGC in the development and management ofthe ERM program Identify areas of potential risk, actions necessary to address potential risks, critical deadlines and project plan status Facilitate assessment and monitoring activities for priority enterprise risks Develop new reporting templates/dashboards and documentation for new processes Participate in major organizational change initiatives to ensure review from an ERM perspective Prepare for regular and special ERM Steering Committee meetings and ensure that follow u,u00a0p actions are prioritized Prepare for and lead ERM work groups (such as departmental roundtables) in timely and effective resolution of issues through identification of appropriate clinical and operational workflows, and assignment of responsibility for ongoing workflows Present to senior leadership and other key stakeholders on status of the ERM program Provide education to key internal stakeholdersu00a0Clinical Risk Management (CRM): Manage medical malpractice litigation/claims analysis Develop innovative operational changes related to patient care and satisfaction in order to reduce legal claims/lawsuits and provide internal cost savings Prepare information for captive insurance Board meetings Assist in reviewing, editing, and writing of internal Hospital policies Work directly with the AVP on Board-driven initiatives to reduce lawsuits Identify and assist and/or lead special projects as they may arise Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred in healthcare or business related field (MPH, MBA, MPA, MHA, ) 5 years' experience working in a healthcare setting 3 years related experience in healthcare risk management and/or ERM Ability to work effectively in a team environment with tight deadlines and changing requirements while building cross-functional relationships Ability to monitor and synthesize data, identify trends and insights and make recommendations using rational thinking Ability to produce timely, accurate and effective reports Excellent analytical, organizational, planning and written/verbal communication skills High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Knowledge of ThinkCell, Tableau a plus Other Requirements #LI-JL1
