We are seeking an Inventory Planning Manager for Blair, to be located at our office in Warren, PA. With a focus on value and style, Blair offers women’s and men’s apparel and accessories, as well as decor and furnishings for every room in the home.
What you’ll do:
Drives business by ensuring inventory is best positioned to drive sales.
Partners with Merchandising and Inventory Planning teams in analyzing business at the Category level.
Oversees the continuous improvement in the department through forecasts and analyses, while reviewing and managing inventory.
Responsible for season preparation and reviewing forecast and inventory exceptions.
Develops strategies for significant changes YOY and other key metrics that will drive inventory decisions.
Provides leadership and decision-making advice to the Liquidation and Dropship functional areas.
Works with other cross functional areas of the business to solve any issues that relate to inventory operations, reporting and analysis.
Budgets and provides monthly forecasts of Offer COGS %, Average Selling Price, Cancel Rate, and Return Rate for Finance
Leverage Marketing and Ecommerce strategies to ensure profitable movement through excess and obsolete product ownership
Analyze category margin reports with the Merchandising teams at planning, build, and sale pricing stages
Align with cross-functional partners around seasonal strategy (big ideas, category changes, and flow timing)
Lead and perform analysis of inventory impacts to drive revenue
Review flow forecast with Inventory Planners and initiate division roll up to share with Inventory and Merchandising leadership
Cascade cross-functional strategy changes that will impact inventory decisions
Align with Inventory Planners on strategy and tactics of weekly inventory in order to provide coaching/guidance
Monitor progress against inventory targets and partner with Inventory Planners to mitigate risks
Align weekly with Transportation/Logistics around inbound/outbound inventory flow
Adjust and reconcile weekly planned inventory position at total division level based on sales, inventory, price action and trend
Evaluate inventory position at a category level to identify recommendations and risks
Responsible for utilizing tools and operational methodologies to craft, evaluate, recommend and execute inventory changes and enhancements
Provide timely, consistent, relevant, and actionable data analyses to support business decisions
Develop executable strategies for proposed inventory management solutions
Provides data to assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly corporate inventory metrics reports
What you’ll need:
Bachelor’s degree from four-year College or university and five to seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Excel, Access and Word.
Experience with Direct Tech’s Forecast 21 software and CWDirect a plus.
Must be a strong communicator and representative for the Inventory team with the information Systems department and software vendors.
