The Planning Manager is a key leadership position on the Fulfillment Operations team. This position participates in the morning management meetings and works with site operations to coordinate the day's activities in the facility to align with the direction set in the morning meeting. This person uses modern production planning and scheduling tools to integrate picking, staging, speed-line, automation, manual packing, and GTP picking/packing on a hourly and daily basis.This position is responsible for setting the strategic direction for the fulfillment systems design along with day to day operational management of WMS, LMS, and Manifest systems. This position will coordinate all fulfillment system enhancements, upgrades and WMS/LMS file transfer activity. This position also has responsibility for data extraction, statistical analysis, and issue resolution.

Coordinate workflow with the Planner, Operations Support Coordinators, and Supervisors through intelligent wave releasing to balance and achieve goals among Inbound and Outbound areas to maintain continuity between shiftsDevelop strategic direction for all system design initiatives for the fulfillment operationProvide cross functional management and support from concept & design, through approval, justification and implementation of business initiatives and capital projectsEvaluate, recommend, develop, and implement best practices (technology, configuration, and mapping, system enhancements, process, training) to improve customer service, reduce cost, and improve accuracy.Monitor daily/hourly data flow from WMS to LMS, provide immediate issue correction, develop root cause resolution and coordinate implementation with operations & IT staffProvide leadership and direction to the Fulfillment Systems staff and Planner
