The Maintenance Planner / Scheduler is responsible for ensuring all plant required equipment inspections are completed as scheduled to maintain local, state and federal code compliance. Additionally, he/she manages the maintenance storeroom activities using vendor and contractor assistance to insure proper recordkeeping within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).\r \rThe Maintenance Planner / Scheduler provides support for the Maintenance department to assure department administrative and documentation requirements are met with a high degree of efficiency and quality. This position will also assist the Maintenance & Facility Engineers in identifying equipment breakdown trends and establishing correction and preventive plans. This position will be called upon at times to serve as relief for the Maintenance Supervisor in the event of his/her absence.\r \rKey Responsibilities: \r\r\rPlan material, labor, and tool needs for all (non-emergency) maintenance and/or project work orders.\r\rAssists Maintenance Supervision with the identification and securing of material, labor, and tool resources for un-planned events.\r\rWork closely with plant and outside project/process engineers, plant production planners, and plant supervisors to ensure all projects are planned, and executed on time and on budget.\r\rConducts regular meetings with Production Planning, Project Engineering, and Maintenance Supervision to coordinate short term and long term planned equipment downtime needs.\r\rIssues planned maintenance reports for plant personnel as requested.\r\rPlant preventive maintenance program champion.\r\rWorks closely with maintenance and operations to ensure satisfactory PM and planned work order schedule compliance.\r\rConfigures all aspects of plant responsible CMMS PM and MM modules.\r\rConfigures extracts and analysis CMMS PM and MM reports and distributes to plant personnel as required.\r\rMaintains plant MRO inventory and required documentation.\r\rPrepares return and repair equipment for shipping, including generating the Memorandum of Shipment (MOS) reports.\r\rCoordinates the refurbishment program for replacement of both stocked and non-stocked equipment items.\r\rAnalyzes and adjusts stock inventory levels to reflect current usage and future needs.\r\rMonitors and evaluates the performance of vendors, service providers, and contractors.\r\rProvides support for the maintenance storeroom functions to include such activities as:\r\r\r“kit” parts based on work order planning and scheduling requirements.\r\rensures all routine parts/materials are removed from the MRO system properly\r\rprovides department training as needed on storeroom systems\r\rpick up and deliver parts/materials/equipment from local vendors\r\rmanage storeroom day to day activities directing contractors and vendors for optimum storeroom operation\r\rMaintain files to comply with Solvay purchasing and financial policies \r\rAll other duties that may be assigned by the site management\rHSE Responsibilities: \r\r\rFully participate in plant HSE initiatives.\r\rComply with Solvay Life Saving Rules and other safety procedures to ensure safe practices are considered and incorporated in all maintenance activities.\r\rPractice good hazard recognition to identify safety and permit needs for all planned work.\r\rDemonstrate good verbal communication skills to ensure maintenance technicians and contractors understand both the safety and performance expectations of the assigned jobs.\r\rIdentify and properly prioritize urgent plant safety work orders to mitigate any immediate or critical safety hazards.
High School graduate required, Associates degree preferred and a minimum of three years experience in planning and MRO procurement. \r \rThe Maintenance Planner / Scheduler position requires excellent organizational skills along with good verbal communication skills for facilitating cooperation with all other departments. This position also requires excellent computer skills, good written communication skills. Excellent working knowledge of Google Mail, MS Word, MS Excel, and MS PowerPoint programs is essential.\r \r
