Responsible for leading a variety of initiatives and providing strategic planning that helps build the Credit Union’s core capabilities and position it for future growth.

Leads strategic initiatives in an end-to-end manner from both a content (i.e. thought leadership) and process perspective.

Typically these initiatives will involve increasing member acquisition, deepening member relationships, building foundational service and sales capabilities, and/or increasing operational effectiveness.

For each initiative, leads a cross-functional team to create an overall vision, identify and evaluate strategic options, and determine and implement tactical work streams.



Minimum requirements for this position are:

Bachelor’s degree. M.B.A. or other graduate degree preferred.

5+ years of progressive related experience in strategic planning or related strategic functions (e.g., internal strategy development, management consulting).

Experience managing large cross-functional teams and initiatives from both a content (i.e. thought leadership) and process perspective.

Any of the following will also be helpful in performing this position:

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and writing, including the ability to create an effective narrative through visual documents and powerpoint presentations.

Broad familiarity with retail financial services (including but not limited to branch, call center, lending, operations, risk management/compliance).

Excellent analytical skills, including the perceptiveness to ask the right questions, collect the right qualitative and quantitative information, and analyze data to derive actionable insights.
