Description: The Tactical & Strike Missiles Line of Business (TSM LOB) within Missiles and Fire Control has 4 major Program Areas, Strike Systems, Close Combat Weapons Systems, Precision Fires and Advanced Programs. The Sr. Strategic Planning Manager for the TSM LOB will be responsible for developing strategies for new business capture and identifying and executing profitable growth opportunities, achieved by assessing the competitive landscape, analyzing the LOB's capabilities and competencies, and ensuring investment resources are aligned with the strategy. The Sr. Strategic Planning Manager will lead the development and communication of the LOB strategic plan, Long Range Plan, Order Campaign Management Reports and the NBAE investment plan. The Sr. Strategic Planning Manager will report to the TSM LOB Vice President of Strategy and Business Development, but will interface heavily with a broad section of Executive Leadership.As a Strategic Planning Senior Manager in the TSM LOB, the selected candidate will be responsible for leading a wide variety of strategic projects that build upon the Lockheed Martin Corporate Strategy Themes, the enterprise Strategy Tenets and Strategic Priorities. The Strategic Planning Senior Manager will coordinate efforts across multiple Program Areas and functional areas to diagnose complex strategic issues, identify appropriate TSM LOB goals, and make informed recommendations to senior stakeholders. The role will manage multiple project phases-including scoping and approach, market research, data analysis, stakeholder discussion, consultant engagement, presentation development, communication to leaders-up to and through strategy implementation.• Planning and execution of the TSM annual strategic planning cycle• Development and executive and board-level strategy presentations• Representation of the TSM LOB at key strategy forums and senior leadership meetings• Management of Strategic Business Reviews (SBRs) and Country Strategies• Leadership of ad-hoc strategy projects and analyses for executive leaders• Oversight and maintenance of key Corporate Strategy products including market segment forecasts and competitor analyses• Coordination of cross-business area studies and business pursuits• Supporting collaborative activities and strategy development with other enterprise functions, including Corporate Engineering Technology and Operations, Finance and Business Operations, Human Resources, Government Affairs, LM International, Corporate Development, and others• Supporting M&A and investment activities through market, business case, and strategic analysis• Presenting findings to the LOB VP, MFC EVP, Corporate Strategy, and other senior LM executive stakeholders• Engagement with external consultants and think tanks• Management, training, and development of staff analystsDesired Skills: Strong knowledge of Lockheed Martin's enterprise strategy and strategic business portfoliosExperience with financial modeling a of A&D segments for the purpose of strategy developmentPrior experience in scenario planning, operations analysis, and knowledge of threats and future customer missionsPractical experience implementing enterprise strategy with teams and programs/opportunities to drive growth Management/strategy consulting experience for A&D industryM&A and corporate development experience for A&D industryTenacious focus on driving to an answer despite uncertainty Strong interpersonal and leadership skills Advanced level degree, such as MBATop Secret or TS/SCI clearance, and familiarity with DoD and IC classified activities Basic Qualifications: Prior experience with development of Enterprise, Business Area, International (country or regional) or functional strategies. Prior experience leading market focused strategy reviews with enterprise-level impact Extensive knowledge and recent familiarity with Lockheed Martin's business segments, customers, competitors and markets Experience with market analysis methodologies of Aerospace & Defense (A&D) segments for the purpose of strategy development Demonstrated ability to be a broad strategic thinker, able to bridge from strategy to actionable objectives, actions, and progress metrics though critical thinking, intelligence and curiosity Experience tracking and performing required analysis of Government, Customer, and A&D Industry activities and initiatives Project management skills, and experience of successfully leading geographically and functionally diverse teams (comprised of corporate and business area staff, external consultants, Think Tanks and Industrial Associations) on projects of significant strategic impact for delivery to C-suite executivesDemonstrated outstanding communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills to an executive level audienceExceptional PowerPoint skills, and development of C-suite level briefing materials Ability to obtain a Secret clearance Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
