Strategy Director

The preferred location for this position is Indianapolis, IN office,

but candidates from Mason, OH will also be considered.

The Strategy Director

is responsible for identifying, developing and planning an operational business intelligence strategy to improve results based on continuous needs assessment. Process improvement projects to strengthen the efficiency and effectiveness in the utilization of information to drive operational improvements. Primary duties to include, but are not limited to:

Partners with executive leadership to refine our strategy and success criteria for the future.

Translates strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects, priorities and timelines and ensures alignment and attainment of the enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality.

Coordinates overall issue identification, tracking, collaboration and resolution for Strategic Insights and Analytics.

Partners with overall quality programs to perform risk assessments utilizing data driven analytics in the development and management of quality programs to drive operational improvements.

Creates and presents extremely high quality presentations to executive levels.

Oversees definition development and implementation of metrics to report and monitor progress against goals and ensures plan of record supports strategy milestone deliverables.

Ensures business intelligence strategy is in alignment with Strategic Insights & Analytics Center of Excellence overall strategy

Serves as communication team lead in preparing and maintaining Analytics & Decision Support communication plans. Including preparation of communication materials to support all associate discussions, staff meeting communications, survey preparation and analysis, development and delivery of team fact sheets and senior leadership team updates.

Oversees execution of people strategy, talent action plans, team goal alignment and succession management.

Identification, tracking and prioritization of work request from various constituents within the company.

Researches relevant trends and activities in their area of expertise and works with business leadership to further define business strategy and sustain a competitive advantage in the marketplace.

Develops, monitors and tracks metrics to track budget and spending.

Often acts as decision maker on projects or provides guidance to senior team on complex issues.

Serves as a representative on enterprise and inter-regional initiatives.

Provides coaching and mentoring to other leaders in the organization on strategic thinking and on projects that deliver high return and high strategic value.

Champion’s breakthrough projects to transform our current business environment into industry leading best practice organization.

Often serves as the subject matter expert in projects and initiatives.

Often takes responsibility for approval of all projects sponsored by their Executive Sponsor.

Requires a BS/BA degree in a related field

10 years of strategic planning, project/program management

3-5 years of leadership/management with business knowledge in multiple disciplines within a Healthcare organization; or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background.

Master’s degree preferred.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills required.

Excellent research and analytical skills also required.

Strong planning and organizational skills required.
