PURPOSE AND SCOPE:Directs all activities related to HD & PD planning production, purchasing and North America capacity planning for all FMCNA disposable manufactured products, and the planning of disposable medical products and/or services sourced from outside suppliers partnering with FKC procurement. Oversees inventory stocking levels, service levels, and resupply activities for Materials Management. Has major financial impact on company P&L given its liaison role with manufacturing, distribution, sales/marketing/customers, and finance. Manages all FMCNA related international orders from FMC clinics, external clinics, and FMC affiliates. Works closely with distribution, manufacturing, carriers, 3PL, and Tru Blu Central routing team. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage the tactical execution of short- and long-term objectives through the coordination of activities with a direct responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.Provide leadership, coaching and development plans for all direct reports to maintain an engaged and productive workforce; partnering with Human Resources on employee matters.  Effectively manages team to process and route all long haul resupply truckloads from resupply sites as well as manufacturing plants throughout North America.Has primary ownership for company service levels to customers and meets the targets by balancing the needs of the distribution, manufacturing, and customer service departments.  Maintains robust quality system (SOX, ISO, GMPs, SOPs, lot control, recalls, and training). Responsible for quality requirements such as Vendor Scorecards, Metric Trending Plan, and Vendor & Product Qualifications. Additional responsibilities include:FDA & ISO (TUV) Compliance – Complete Vendor FilesSupplier Management & Business ReviewsAP, Discrepancies, Complaints, Supplier RecallsPlacement of POs and Product MRP/ForecastingFormulary, New Products, Product Conversions/Roll Out  & Project Implementations        Manages and leads the monthly Sales & Operations meetings with Manufacturing, Marketing, and Customer ServicePrimary ownership for management of inventory reserves quarterly, expired and obsolete inventory monthly.Conducts quarterly performance discussions with employees and complete annual reviews in a timely manner.Technically proficient in the specific department and knowledge of industry practice and business principles.  Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including an understanding of current business trends.  Has a larger range within the department.Experienced leadership required for multi-faceted environment; role primarily focuses on tactical execution.  Receives assignments in the form of objectives and determines how to use resources to meet schedules and goals.Program or project responsibility generally within the function.  Manages the operations of one or more departments, direct impact on a specific functional area.  Manages the coordination of activities of a section or department with direct responsibility for results, including costs, methods, and staffing.   An individual contributor will have significant project/process responsibilities.Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.  Interprets and recommends change to policies and establishes procedures that effect immediate organization(s).Decisions have an impact on work processes and outcomes.  Erroneous decisions or failure to achieve results will add costs and may impact the short-term goals of the organization.Frequently interacts with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers, normally involving matters between functional areas, other company divisions or units, or customers.Participates and presents at meetings with internal and external representatives. Often leading a cooperative effort among members of a project team.Interacts with internal departments and external customers; particularly in problem resolution.  Acts as an advisor to subordinate(s) to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems.  Responsible for hiring, coaching and counseling employees, including performance reviews, disciplinary action and terminations.Provide technical guidance.Assist with various projects as assigned. Minimum 5 years of direct planning and transportation management experience.Strong management skills with the ability to lead cohesive and productive teams. Project management experience.Demonstrated ability to manage one or more departments. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of management through diplomacy and tact.Excellent oral and written communication skills.
