This position plans and leads the daily activities of a team of electricians in the areas of safety, quality and maintenance for all equipment and buildings in order to meet the departmental goals. The Cedar Springs facility is one of the largest containerboard facilities in the country with 3 paper machines that make different weights of brown paper & containerboard paper. A Day In The Life Typically Includes: * Ownership of the performance of the Electrical Planning * Ensure the safety of all team members by identifying safety issues and taking corrective measures to proactively plan for the issue * Actively oversee and develop the team on the importance of the planning process * This position is responsible for the planning of daily routine, periodic and annual shutdown work orders for the assigned department * Help implement root cause failure analysis, manufacturing work systems and precision maintenance techniques * Assist in designing out equipment failures * Excellent leadership skills and must manage with unquestionable integrity * Must have good oral communication and effective written skills to inform people of what is needed to do their jobs and feel good about being a member of the team/organization * Efficient use of reliability methods to ensure uptime, production, and quality goals are met * Effectively lead the planning process by proactively resolving issues, builds team work, and ensures adherence to all GP policies and procedures * Conduct field walk downs to scope out all components necessary for planning electrical work and order all parts and materials needed to complete work * Develop and maintain an effective working relationship with Operation, Procurement, Engineering, and Contract Planner * Monitors preventative maintenance completion efficiency, work order backlog, and completion of both * Maintain and build bill of material and other information stored in the computerized maintenance management system (passport) database What You Will Need: Basic Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * A minimum of five (5) years of Electrical & Instrumentation maintenance/reliability experience in an industrial, manufacturing or military environment * Must have good technical knowledge base to build effective job plans for mill craftspeople and contractors. * Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) * Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite such as Excel (sorting data, creating tables & graphs, reporting, simple formulas), Outlook (email & scheduling), Word (document creation & editing, to write business correspondence), PowerPoint (presentation creation & editing) * Strong communication and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task * Will be required to perform a rotating weekly on-call duty * Willing and able to work on call hours as scheduled What Will Put You Ahead?
