nnJob DescriptionnWell established and growing company is searching for a Master Planner.  The Master Planner is responsible for planning, creating and placing customer orders into the plant production schedules in a manner that will assure timely delivery to the customer while optimizing efficiencies in quality, productivity, and cost.  This position has a key role in customer satisfaction, plant output, and profitability.rrThis includes planning & scheduling materials from MRP, managing material availability, troubleshooting material availability problems, determining & eliminating the root cause of problems in the supply chain, communicating material supply issues to internal customers and resolving conflicts as they arise.  This position will work in close partnership with sales, marketing, operations, scheduling, customer service, and logistics in order to develop supply chain strategies and plans that maximize service levels while simultaneously minimizing risk and reducing total inventory & cost throughout the entire supply chain.rrThis position will work with sales and product management to develop and manage forecast for long range material planning while considering current inventory, obsolescence, lead times, product life cycles and product capacity.  rrMajor Areas of Responsibility:r rr Review customer orders and determine start dates to meet customer requested delivery date.r Understand capacity management relationship and work with machine centers to determine appropriate demand loading.r Issue a firm daily production schedule.r Analyze historical order patterns to facilitate creation of safety stock and optimum batch quantities.r Ensure raw materials availability for all orders with less than seven days lead-time; coordinate with appropriate raw material buyer to resolve raw material problems.r Inform customer service of delays that will impact meeting the customer’s date and advise of new date. r Work to satisfy customer orders first and analyze need for made to stock materials.r Establish, measure, monitor, and adjust capacity levels needed to execute all manufacturing schedules.r Complies with safety procedures to ensure a safe environment. r Perform other duties as assigned by management. rrrMeasures of Performance and Accountabilities:r rr Strategic thinker, strong analytical skills.  Ability to synthesize data and create data driven decisions/plans.r Demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively in teams, across functional lines, and with internal and external customers.r Requires strong math and analytical skills, PC proficiency, and spreadsheet applications capability.r Requires effective verbal and written communication skills.r Self-starter, results-oriented, have good problem solving skills and the ability to get things done.r Understanding and application of time-based manufacturing and lean supply chain concepts, including pull-based planning and manufacturing processes.r Requires understanding and application of continuous improvement and operational excellence methods (i.e., performance measures, Six Sigma, Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing/Supply Chain).r Strong orientation towards customer service and consumer satisfaction.r Ability to lead, contribute, and influence others in a team-based organization.r Ability to develop and motivate individuals and teams within the organization.r Ability to set, manage and deliver multiple priorities.r Ability to analyze data, make data driven decisions.r Prevention of personal injury/illness. rrnnJob Requirementsnr Prefer minimum of five plus years of supply chain/master scheduling experience and Bachelor’s degree in business management or supply chain management.r APICS certification preferred.r Prior experience working in an ISO or QS environment.r Expertise in statistical analysis and problem solving techniques.r Six Sigma Black Belt certification a plus.r Expertise with MS Office applications.r ERP/MRP experience preferably SAP.r Experience in production planning software.rr r  rPlease reference Job Code 8-9E when responding to this position.  Please send your resume as an attached document in Word form.  r
