Job Description : We are seeking a Sr. Manager for the Eastern Range Integration and Planning Program Office at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, Florida. The Sr. Manager is responsible for organizing, planning, staffing, and successful execution of Test, Ground Support Equipment, Development and Facilities Design projects within the Directorate. In this role you will ensure that projects meet technical, cost, schedule, and programmatic needs and requirements. Direct other technical and support organizations as required to meet cost, schedule, and technical commitments. Ensure that projects are executed within contracted scope and resource limitations. Validate and monitor associate and subordinate Management and Product Teams to ensure compliance with applicable processes and procedures. The Sr. Manager will define, establish, conduct, and maintain appropriate business rhythm activities to ensure adequate visibility and control of project status and execution. You will be the primary point-of-contact to Customer Program Office personnel to coordinate and ensure compliance of directorate activities with contractual requirements and customer expectations. The Sr. Manager will ensure compliance across projects for Integrated Master Planning and Scheduling, and EVM requirements. Conduct periodic (quarterly) reviews and planning sessions at Customer Headquarters Offices (Washington DC). In this role you will make certain that Lockheed Martin functional and support organizations are appropriately staffed, trained, and qualified to perform assigned tasks. When required, coordinate and implement horizontal integration of work products with other Lockheed Martin or outside vendors, suppliers or organizations. Oversee and integrate product and\/or service-related activities within the directorate. The Eastern Range Program Office team is a combination of direct reports and matrixed organizations comprised of senior managers, managers, and salaried personnel. Basic Qualifications B.S.\/B.A. in engineering or business Three plus years of demonstrated successful experience as a coded manager of a large organization leading through leaders, (i.e., coded L4, L5 managers) Demonstrated successful experience leading and\/or supporting large scale aerospace assembly, integration, and test operation Possess 15 plus years\u2019 experience leading projects, people, and operations Ability to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance. Ability to successfully complete, with favorable adjudication, a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) Experience as a Cost Account Manager or equivalent budget management experience Excellent oral and written communication skills Ability to plan strategic changes and improvements and to orchestrate their successful execution Strong delegation skills with effective follow up techniques and the ability to achieve closure Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with senior military officers and GS-15 level Civil Servants Experience in successfully leading larger teams of employees through extensive critical inspections and audits Demonstrated senior leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives Must be willing to relocate to the Cape Canaveral, FL area Desired skills * Knowledge of the Fleet Ballistic Missile (FBM) program; * Experience at a FBM field site a plus * Schedule management experience, ability to multi task and meet demanding schedules * Demonstrated ability to plan, propose, and manage organizational budgets and schedules * Demonstrated ability to motivate and energize the team * Demonstrated effective problem and conflict resolution skills including experience with root cause, corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies * Demonstrated ability to effectively interface with customers (internal and external), demonstrating sound situational reasoning and judgment * Ability to use metrics to critically assess organization, measure performance, and take corrective action * Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to deliver effective presentations at all levels * Demonstrated successful experience leading and\/or supporting large scale ballistic missile assembly, integration, and test operation As a leading technology innovation company, Lockheed Martin\u2019s vast team works with partners around the world to bring proven performance to our customers\u2019 toughest challenges.
