The diversity of our operations has recently created an opportunity for a new Senior Demand Planning Manager in our New York offices. The Senior Demand Planning Manager is the leader for worldwide sales forecast for all product categories within the Timeless Classics assortment, purchasing plans and inventory management. This role will work with all sales channels including Retail stores, eCom, wholesale accounts and the growing uniforms business unit.
Reporting to the Director of Demand Planning, Financial Planning and Analytics in our New York office, the Senior Demand Planning Manager will lead the creation and update of Sales Forecast and Purchasing Plans for all product categories within Timeless Classics assortment worldwide. These plans will serve as collaboration with Supply Chain to develop production plans and as input to Financial Planning and Business Planning.
This role will contribute to achieve targets of forecast error, inventory levels and sales. Moreover, it is a key position for cash flow optimization and open to buy management. Finally, the Senior Demand Planning Manager is chartered with the creation of strong relationships with other functions as Supply Chain, Retail Planning, Store Planning, International Markets, Brand Managers and Product Development.
The Senior Demand Planning Manager drives operations performance by demonstrating the following core competencies and responsibilities:
Excellent Demand planning expertise to develop sales forecasts at multiple levels, multiple time horizons and multiple regions
Proactively interact with Supply Chain, Retail Planning, Store Planning, Brand Managers and Product Development to optimize forecast and new products introductions
Provide deep analysis and reporting for senior management
Lead and develop Demand Planning team
High attention to details for continuous improvement in forecast and inventory accuracy
Establish purchasing projections for vendors to optimize inventory and cash flow
Skills & Requirements
Preferred Experience & Technical Proficiencies:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business or similar. Master’s degree or MBA preferred
Minimum 5 years experience in Demand Planning, forecasting or supply chain planning
Experience in team management and development
Proven track record of statistical forecasting models and Demand/Supply Planning process
Demand/Supply matching modeling, analysis and reporting experience
Maintain positive communications and working relationships at all business levels
Ability to see the big picture in providing a solution by managing data from multiple sources
Outstanding problem solving skills
Excellent ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and communicate effectively
Organized, detail oriented and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced and complex environment.
Strong experience with MS Excel. Preferred MS Access, SAP APO and Power BI.
