Job Description:

Northrop Grumman Technical Services is seeking a Logistics Plannerto join our team of qualified, diverse individuals who provide Logistics Planning Support, Aircraft Systems Integration, and Maintenance Support for assigned systems through analysis of Engineering Data Packages and Customer Directives. Selected applicant analyzes technical data and reports to determine spares and support equipment provisioning requirements. Reviews site survey results and letters of offer and acceptance and formulates specific recommendations for spare/repair parts and support equipment. Manages and controls the asset position of customer inventories. May originate support plans for offer to potential customers and provide technical assistance to existing customer personnel.Contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered expert in field within the organization. Demonstrates the skill and ability to perform complex tasks. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Develop solutions to complex problems which require the regular use of ingenuity and innovation and ensures solutions are consistent with organizational objectives. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to complex assignments. Serves as consultant to management and special external spokesperson for the organization on major matters pertaining to its policies, plans, and objectives and acts as an advisor to senior management and customers. Maintains a complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, practices, and standards and full knowledge of industry practices. Independently demonstrates the skill and ability to perform fairly complex professional tasks and develops solutions to a variety of complex problems. Participates in determining objectives of assignment, plans schedules, and arranges own activities in accomplishing program objectives. Represents the organization within the functional area and interacts with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations. Develops and delivers presentations.

Basic Qualifications:

6 years with Bachelors; 4 years with Masters degree. 10 years of applied experience may be used in lieu of education.

Applicants should be able to demonstrate an understanding of Aviation and Aerospace technical data.

Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills as well as oral and written communication skills are required.

Candidate must be able to research engineering data, technical manuals, and subject matter experts to lead complex projects from start to finish utilizing established processes, development software, and related team members.

Experience with development, validating, and updating technical training or technical publication materials.

Proficiency in computer skills associated with the respective business professional position required.

Additionally, the ability to obtain and retain a Program Security Clearance is required as condition of employment.

Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays, and weekends and support on call status for 24 hours-a-day, 7 days-a-week, 365 days a year.

All applicants must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport, accept customer furnished quarters for a period up to 120 days away from primary work location and comply with mobility requirements.

Applicants must meet medical requirements for worldwide travel which include a physical.

Applicants must be a US citizen and have a current and active DoD Secret clearance, with the ability to maintain that clearance.

The ability to obtain and retain Special Program access clearance within 365 days from submission.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience as a qualified mechanic, technician, or operator in a technical field such as aircraft, ship, missile, or space systems highly desired.

Top Secret clearance preferred.
