Job Description : The Director, Business Development Capture Strategy and Operations (CSO), will oversee overall capture activities and services for business development activities in Lockheed Martin Space. Assuming a key leadership role within the Strategy & Business Development organization, he/she will manage a multidisciplinary organization that includes capture and proposal operations, as well as print and record services operations in support the Business Development Director (BDD) and supporting team in each of the five Lines of Business (LOB). A subject matter expert in new business capture and proposal operations, the candidate will serve as an advisor to the LOBs in the implementation of capture/proposal activities leading to predictable and sustainable growth. Toward that end, he/she will partner with BDDs and BD leaders to drive the successful shaping and capture of key programs within their LOBs. The selected candidate will also lead and/or support cross Business Area and Corporate capture excellence activities (e.g., General Win Strategy enhancements, Capture Manager and Proposal Manager qualification) that require expertise from LM Space. In addition, he/she will oversee LM Space Print and Records Keeping Services which includes the publication of proposals. Finally, the candidate will manage the CSO organization, with specific responsibilities to organize, train and equip members of the organization as well as the LOB business development teams for long term success. The role reports directly to the Vice President, Strategy & Business Development for Lockheed Martin Space. Key Responsibilities / Deliverables: • Demonstrate effective relationship building; be a team-builder across diverse skill sets, organizations, and locations. • Lead multiple, large organizations/teams effectively and productively under continual cost, schedule, and organizational pressure; data driven decision maker. • Instill a strong working knowledge of capture/proposal processes, resources, and support operations; understand DoD FAR and commercial acquisition processes. • Define, distill, and communicate engaging future states and effectively shape organizational culture, driving efficiencies vertically and horizontally. • Deliver multiple, simultaneous, quality products on schedule (based on customer deadlines). • Implement positive BD capture/proposal culture shift and change leadership • Navigate difficult situations and conversations to a productive outcome. • Understand Overhead/Market Assist and Bid and Proposal budget types and utilization support the management of over $150M in new business funds• Demonstrate Lockheed Martin Full Spectrum Leadership Behaviors• Travel to all LM Space and Business Area sites as required. *The selected candidate must have the ability to obtain a TS/SCI with Poly. Active Top Secret with current investigation is required in order to be considered.
