Profile

WHAT YOU BRING TO NIKE:

Advanced quantitative degree (Statistics,Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or related field) and at least 5 yearsof related industry experience or Bachelors degree and 7-12 years related industryexperience. E-commerce and store retailexperience preferred.

Previous leadership experience of ananalytical organization (previous people management experience of at least 5years required)

Strong technical, analyticalskillset (deep R, Python, SAS, SQL, predictive modeling skills required).Experience conducting analysis via Amazon Web Services (AWS) environmentpreferred.

Experience building and maintainingproduction analytics systems and models at enterprise scale

Demonstrated ability to sift throughdata, identify critical information, analyze, develop hypothesis and makerecommendations to technical and non-technical audiences and senior leadershipteams.

Strong presentation skills, andexcellent written and verbal communication skills, including results packagingand development of management presentations preferred

Demonstrated ability to use data toinfluence decision making. Strongproject management capabilities to handle multiple project streams andcomplexity; propensity for thinking through projects in a process-oriented wayrequired

Consistent record of working crossfunctionally to develop innovative solutions using advanced analytics

Demonstrated understanding of the principlesof experiment design & analysis

Familiarity with agile development methodology

Utilizesappropriate quality checks to ensure the results are sound

We are responsible for leveraging predictive analytics to enhance decision

making and drive to action against our strategic priorities, elevating the

function of analytics within Nike.

As the leader of Nike’s Supply

Planning & Optimization team you will lead a team of data scientists in the

development of supply planning capability.

You will play a lead role on a team of cross-functional partners and

analytics professionals to identify, scope, suggest new opportunities, and

execute high-impact analytics projects.

You will employ advanced data modeling techniques to prescribe

actionable recommendations to drive value for Nike.

The role requires a leader with

strong, hands-on analytics experience (SAS, R, Python, SQL, predictive

modeling, data warehouse best practices) and a blend of traditional with a

modern “big data” mindset. In other words, you are as comfortable working with

your technology partners to optimize the parameters of a model or build a

simulation as you are at strategizing new opportunities with partners from the

planning and supply chain teams.
