The Senior Planner/Master Scheduler is a critical role for the growth of Adaptive Biotechnologies. This highly-motivated, results-oriented individual will be responsible for establishing and managing effective material planning processes to ensure that the master production schedule is being executed, accurate inventories are forecasted and maintained, and together with Purchasing, ensuring that material orders are timed appropriately. This position is also responsible for working cross functionally with research and development, process engineering, manufacturing, operations, and finance to ensure that material requirements and cost standards for new, and existing, products are appropriately established and forecast.
Develop and maintain rolling twelve-month forecast for individual suppliers and overall material needs
Coordinate with finance, sales, and operations on monthly sales/operations planning process
In partnership with Purchasing, determine order dates and quantities for forecast-driven components
Determine optimum average inventory levels to balance operational risk and inventory carrying cost
Schedule and allocate raw material inventory for bulk manufacturing activities
Develop dashboards and other tools to optimize the management and communication of inventory status
Calculate supplemental material requirements for periodically scheduled runs of legacy assays
Oversee the release status of critical raw materials, ensuring that the Quality Control and Quality Assurance groups have appropriate timeline visibility
Participate in Process Engineering, R&D, Manufacturing, and Validation project team meetings to determine additional material requirements and to act as the voice of the Supply Chain
Develop and maintain bills of materials for all production activities
Edit material specification documents for product information and vendor accuracy, acting as the Supply Chain reviewer during the specification approval process
Identify, plan, and execute improvements to Supply Chain-related enterprise systems
Perform all work in adherence to our standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements (such as ISO 13485 and FDA 21CFR Part 820), documenting nonconformances and suggesting improvements as needed
Experience and Skills:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in planning and/or scheduling in make-to-order (MTO) or engineer-to-order (ETO) environments
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a highly regulated industry, preferably life sciences
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Solid experience utilizing an ERP system for planning and scheduling
Must possess excellent project management, problem solving, detail orientation, and communications skills
Ability to work on multiple projects, and communicate status to key decision makers, on a proactive basis
Experience with lean manufacturing preferred
