Mission Planner Engineer 4 Patuxent River
The Broad Area Maritime Surveillance Program (BAMS) requires mission planning services for unmanned aircraft. Interpret and clarify customer functional requirements in order to produce accurate and error free mission plans to accomplish test and/or operational objectives. Produce related mission planning products and present flight briefings to aircrew. Also, support software development of emerging mission planning software upgrades. The position will be based at NAS Patuxent River, MD Intermittent travel to other contractor/test sites on short-term assignments may be required as the program dictates. Travel to customer and associate contractor locations for meetings is also required. ( FTENG )
Basic Qualifications:
BS degree in a technical field and at least nine years of related experience. An active DoD Secret clearance is also required. Other required skills and experience includes: mission planning experience with Joint Mission Planning System (JMPS), Air Force Mission Support System (AFMSS), Falcon View or (TAMS) Tactical Aircrew Mission Planning System is a must.
Preferred Qualifications:
A former Instructor Navigator B-52, FB-111A, B-1 or Naval Flight Officer (NFO) P-3, EA-6B or S-3 is highly preferred. Experience in flight test and computer administration also preferred.
