# Job Summary
This position reports to the Assistant Commissioner for Engineering Services Division and is responsible for providingexecutive leadership to the division so that policies are managed, priorities are established, resources are allocated, and programs are implemented in an effective and integrated manner. The position is responsible for coordinating and providing guidance to division projects, planning initiatives and tactical programs, and for serving as a liaison between offices to promote collaboration and maximize efficiencies. The incumbent provides leadership for the division’s programs, and provides the Assistant Commissioner with expert counsel and advice in the prioritization of the division’s products and services. This position serves as a member of MnDOT’s Senior Leadership Team (SLT), working in collaboration with other SLT members to advance the agency’s vision, mission, core values and strategic priorities.
## Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Planning, Business Administration or related field,
Three (3) years executive leadership and managerial experience at the Office Director/District Engineer (22M) or equivalent level
Five (5) years executive leadership and managerial experience at the Assistant District Engineer/Assistant Office Director (20M) or equivalent**.**

Experience which demonstrates a broad understanding of the technical areas of Engineering Services (Bridge, Land Management, Construction & Innovative Contracting, Project Management & Technical Support, Environmental Stewardship, and Materials & Road Research).
Policymaking, Strategic Direction and Initiatives
Fiscal and Human Resources Management: Knowledge of fiscal and human resources needs, limitations and alternatives so that the effective use of resources is demonstrated to deliver products and services.
Demonstrated ability to enhance trust with transparency and accountability
Demonstrated ability to promote collaboration, research and innovation.
Demonstrated ability to promote diversity and cultural capital through inclusion and opportunity.
