SUMMARY

The Senior Sales Bid Analyst is responsible for developing and analyzing data from multiple sources to support actual sales contract performance versus the BCA (Business Case Analysis) tool and determine win-loss baselines to support pricing/sales decisions and/or eliminate bid/pricing risks. As a subject matter expert for sales and bid process initiatives, the Sales Bid Analyst will collaborate to provide cross functional training, guidance, and support in leveraging developed pricing tools and analytical information to support profitable decisions. Additionally, the Senior Sales Bid Analyst will closely collaborate with the Pricing Team to ensure optimal performance of pricing tools, including the Business Case Analysis (BCA) model.

The Senior Sales Bid Analyst will also be responsible for leading projects related to sales operational improvements.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Know, understand, and incorporate the Wesco philosophy, values, vision and Sales strategies in all business behavior, practice and decisions

Develop specialist knowledge to become a subject matter expert in Wesco sales and bid processes, sales tools (BCA model) and systems, and sales performance metrics

Collaborate with Sales Performance Analytics & Systems and Pricing Teams to ensure the established BCA model works efficiently and accurately

Identify, process and analyze data to establish accurate win/loss baselines and BCA metrics to support the pricing and contracts team in bid process

Establishes analytics models and processes for ongoing monitoring of actual financial performance versus the Baseline Business Case Analysis

Support the BCA process for strategic contract bids

Implement BCA tool and process enhancements based on stakeholder feedback and ongoing business objectives

Establish, develop, and deliver ongoing financial analysis of contract performance results vs. the established Business Case with Supply Chain, Procurement and other stakeholders

Build strong business partnerships with key stakeholders in the Financial Planning, Pricing, Contracts, Sales Performance teams

Create and maintain Work Instructions to support Sales and Pricing process developments

Engage as a subject matter expert in developing material and providing training to inside and outside sales, and sales analyst team members

Participate in and practice continuous improvement and/or process improvement efforts

Attend or participate in pricing or sales meetings, as requested; attend company-sponsored meetings, training or events, as required

May travel as required (up to 10%)

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS:

-

Bachelors Degree in Business Analytics, Finance, Information Management, Statistics, or another closely related field partnered with relevant years of experience are preferred Masters Degree in related field, preferred
-

5 years of combined experience in Financial Planning Analysis and/or Pricing Analytics
-

Experience in working with integrated data systems (Oracle platforms, JDE, CRM, Qlikview are preferred)
-

Demonstrated proficiency in SQL
-

Successful experience working with multiple business units, environments and processes to design valuable analytics, and reporting and applications tools
-

Strong, proven ability to provide leadership and mentoring to others in leveraging various experience and job knowledge
-

Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-discipline environment
-

Excellent organizational and time-management skills

Strong analytical skills
-

Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate using various methodologies (written, verbal, presentation, etc.) in front of a diverse and cross functional audience

Excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with both internal and external customers

Ability to be detailed oriented and perform in-depth research, if required

Strong competency working with integrated data systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable) as required
