for our Portland
Duties and Responsibilities:
Lead and deliver work tasks for transportation (highway, transit and aviation) projects and studies
Contribute to the development of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) documentation, including writing technical reports and memorandums, and portions of Documented Categorical Exclusions, Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Statements
Conduct project research and data gathering, mapping, site reconnaissance, and impact analysis
Perform complex assignments and review work of other staff
Analyze project task needs and, if needed, recommend changes and enhancements
Serve as task manager on a variety of project types
Coordinate with project managers, task managers, subconsultants, and other disciplines such as planning, engineering, natural resource, and traffic team members
Participate in client relationship development and marketing efforts
Manage time and effort effectively on multiple projects

Bachelorâ€™s degree in Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science or related field
Five (5) years of relevant experience
Demonstrated experience on working on teams to deliver planning/environmental projects and tasks
Experience in preparing planning studies, technical reports and/or documents in compliance with NEPA and other federal, state (e.g., SEPA and CEQA), regional and local requirements, applicable laws, standards and permits
Ability to handle a wide variety of concurrent projects and assignments, balancing competing demands and deadlines
Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to develop reader-friendly graphics and documents
Self-directed, detail-oriented, and well organized with a proven emphasis on quality and accuracy
Willingness to expand existing skillset and be flexible regarding work assignments
Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Masterâ€™s degree in Planning, Environmental Planning, Environmental Science, or related field
Experience with compliance and monitoring
Working knowledge of ArcGIS, Illustrator, InDesign
