Job Summary

The Financial Analyst assists the FP&A Director to manage reporting, forecasting and execution responsibilities. In addition to reporting and forecasting, the Analyst will maintain budgets, OpEx budgets, assemble cash forecasts, analyze project and business unit working capital requirements, improve internal processes and tools, assist in evaluating project opportunities, and any ad hoc requests from executives and Corporate FP&A. A successful analyst exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action, and builds productive internal/external cross-functional working relationships.

Job Responsibilities

Gathers, analyzes, prepares and summarizes recommendations for financial plans, and operating forecasts.

Supports the Director in closing quarters and developing financial forecasts.

Analyze cash flow and working capital requirements across project portfolio.

Perform analysis on project costs and investment returns to determine present and future financial performance.

Support Director with ad hoc requests from executives and corporate teams.

Requirements:

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related program

2-4 years relevant experience.

Proficient experience working in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.

Strong work ethic.

Experience with the foundational concepts of finance and accounting.

Display initiative and accept responsibility for own actions to get the job done under general supervision.

Apply knowledge and skills to perform assignments with instructions primarily for new assignments.

Continuously and actively develop industry and professional knowledge, skills and expertise.

Understand implications of work, exercise judgment and discretion in recommending solutions and improvements to processes.

Complete assigned tasks in a timely manner.

Effectively utilize available and relevant technical tools and resources.

Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to explain job-related information to supervisor and coworkers and possibly others.

Perform assigned tasks with reliability, honesty and discretion.

Preferred Qualifications

Relevant work experience, or interest in the solar and/or energy industry.
